Year 2 took part in an outdoor learning session about the great fire of London. The children arrived at the site to find houses set up to represent a London street from 1666. Following a discussion about how the fire began, a fire was lit in the bakery. The children got to see how the fire spread so easily and were able to explain how the fire was stopped through the explosion of a house. This was replicated through a removal of one of the cardboard houses.
